From Balcombe to Lancashire: Anti-Fracking Skillshare

Saturday 12th October 2013

12 noon – 5pm

The Yellow Room, University of Manchester Students Union, Oxford Road
This summer, thousands of people mobilised against the fracking industry in Balcombe, Sussex.  The community resistance drew people from all over the country who camped out, met new people, attended demonstrations, blockaded trucks and occupied industry headquarters.
This skillshare and meeting is for all those who were inspired by events in Balcombe and the Reclaim the Power camp to reflect and organise for the future, with a particular focus on supporting community resistance to the industry’s fracking plans for the North of England.
